During the Cannes Film Festival, Badass PR and Anchorage Entertainment (the film company recently acquired by Dirk Vandereyken, CEO of Badass PR) will present the short film Solum by emerging director and producer Seger Peckstadt.

The avant-premiere will take place during a press day at the Carlton Hotel, on a date to be announced soon, alongside other short films and clients of Badass PR, including 3AM Luxury, Syncanite Foundation, and Monopole Events.
In SOLUM, nineteen-year-old Tylco (played by Mona Michiels) drifts between tender flashbacks and a painfully quiet present as she struggles with overwhelming loneliness after surviving the car accident that claimed her entire family, including her beloved sister Feline (Jena Feys).
Once inseparable – filming playful moments in the park, sharing music, and embodying the meaning of their names (“lonely” and “happy”) – Tylco now lives in emotional isolation, surrounded by unpaid bills, ignored voicemails, and half-finished meals.
As concerned messages from her psychologist and friends go unanswered, everyday encounters – a charity flyer about loneliness, an empty chair at the kitchen table, a birthday cake in the fridge – quietly intensify her grief.
Clinging to memories captured on camera and in photographs, Tylco attempts to reconcile the warmth of what once was with the silence of what remains. What unfolds is a poignant portrait of survivor’s guilt, unresolved mourning, and a young woman suspended between holding on and letting go.
Invitations for press, reviewers, influencers, bloggers, and vloggers will follow in early March 2026.
