We are all lied to sometimes… and sometimes we tell a white lie ourselves. However, some lies are unacceptable and the same goes for withholding important information. Our course will turn you into a living lie and emotion detector! The lie detection course consists of a twenty-session card of sessions that each last 2 hours, at 17.8 euros per hour (including VAT). Sometimes the lie comes from an unexpected angle, often even from a loved one we trusted or a colleague who tarnished our reputation. Thanks to our lie and emotion detection course, you will learn to see much better when someone is lying to you… and what he or she might really be thinking. However, this course is much more than that: it teaches you to see and interpret emotions more easily, often through small signals. For this we use not only the Facial Action Coding System (F.A.C.S.), the system that you see at work in a series like Lie to Me, but various other approaches that also take into account body language, language use and intonation. It is important that we test the lessons of someone like professor Ekman – the man who invented F.A.C.S. and was renamed Lightman in the fictional series – and other techniques against the scientific evidence about what does and does not work. After all, not every detail within a system appears to be equally universal or works equally well. That is why we use the latest research and insights to be able to offer the most correct and good course possible. The study of lies and emotions undoubtedly forms the largest chunk of theory of all the courses we offer, but this is supplemented with many practical exercises and of course it is fun to try to find out who of the students is telling true and who is making up stories.
